Welcome to Day 7 of our 10-day Newspaper Activities series. Today’s activity is probably the simplest yet, if you have a paper shredder that is, for today’s activity is a newspaper sensory bin!
To create this activity, simply shred the newspaper in a paper shredder and place the shreds in a large container such as a cooler or a plastic swimming pool and let the kids go to town.
My girls had fun playing with their tea set in the sensory bin, filling up the cups with “soup” and “coffee” and “tea.”
As you can tell, all their best friends were invited. 😉
It was even fun pretending to take a newspaper bath!
Just be prepared when doing this activity that you might have some black hands afterwards. In addition, you might have a bit of a mess on the floor, but thankfully nothing that a vacuum can’t handle. And with all this fun it was totally worth it!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for some newspaper in the garden fun. Also, if you like this post be sure to check out all the other newspaper activities in the 10 day Hopscotch series. Thanks for stopping by!
