About a month ago my hair was at the stage where I had a major decision to make–grow it out or whack it short. For those of you that don’t know, I’ve had my hair all different lengths.
From short…
My Very Short Hair of 1997…oh yes. |
To long…
My much longer hair of 2008…the longest it got before kids. |
To everything in between…
And let me just say that was a MAJOR flashback from the past. Ha!
Anyway, I asked my hubby what he thought I should do with my hair and as would probably be the answer of most husbands his response was: “why don’t you grow it long?” Thus, I’ve begun the phase of awkward cuts and weird hair flips that always seems to result from letting hair grow beyond shoulder length.
Therefore I was very thankful to find a product that makes my hair look appealing during what could otherwise be described as a frizzy mop from an old layered cut. Paula Miller, a fellow blogger at Whole Intentions and consultant for Lilla Rose introduced me to the Lilla Rose Flexi Clip.
What is the Lilla Rose Flexi Clip?
While Lilla Rose has other hair products including hair bands, hair sticks, and bobby pins, the product that they are most known for is the Flexi Clip which is comprised of a pin on the underside and a flexible decorative band on the outside making it excellent for adjusting and fitting most hair thicknesses.

Why I like the Lilla Rose Flexi Clip
Although my hair is thick, it is very fine so I usually have trouble getting hair clips to stay in my hair. However, that was not the case with the Flexi Clip. Thanks to the option to adjust the size with the Flexiband I was able to make the Flexi Clip stay snuggly in my hair all day.
I also liked the fact that Lilla Rose does an excellent job on their site to make your shopping experience very user friendly. For instance, there are six Flexi Clip sizes to choose from (in order to fit a child
‘s half-up hair-do to a women’s French Twist). Don’t know which size to order? There’s a video for that. Don’t know know how to put on the Flexi Clip? They provide a step-by-step brochure for how to adorn your Flexi Clip in your order. What’s even nicer is if you accidentally order the wrong size, you can exchange your order. Talk about service.
Where Can I Get a Lilla Rose Flexi Clip?
All that to say, I think I will go for a size Small or Medium next time so that I can put all my hair up in a Flexi Clip. There is something about those Clips that make what would normally be a simple Stay-at-Home-Mom hairdo into something extra special. And now that I have my beautiful Lilla Rose Flexi Clip and the encouragement from my hubby, I know I will be growing my hair out. The question now though is how long should I go? Got any opinions?
