Have you noticed all the profile pic changes lately? First Facebook, then G+, and now Twitter has joined the Timeline-like makeover. The good thing–these photo covers can make your profile look very professional. The bad thing–you now have to take the time to create a new photo cover. The good news though is that it can be easy if you just know the numbers. So, today I’m going to show you how you can create a quality photo cover using software many of you already have on your computer–PowerPoint.
A few months ago I wrote about how you could create a Facebook Timeline using PowerPoint so if you haven’t read that post and would like to know how to update your Facebook Timeline, be sure to click on over. As far as G+ and Twitter, here’s a few tutorials that I hope will help.
Creating a G+ Photo Cover
2. Format the size of your PowerPoint. To do this go to Design/Page Setup or File/Page Setup depending on the year of your PowerPoint software.
Then select “ok.”
4. Once you have created your design like you like it, save the slide as a png or jpg. To do this go to File/Save As and select “other formats.” Where it says “save type as” toggle down and select “PNG Portable Network Graphics Format” Name the file and save the file where you can easily find it and select “save.”
5. Open your G+ profile. Select “Edit Profile.” Place your mouse over the cover area until the button “change cover photo” appears. Select this bar. Select “Upload” and “select the photo you created from your computer.”
6. Find your cover photo you saved on your computer and open. Once uploaded to G+, drag to re-position the cover if needed and “save changes.” That’s it!
