I love musicals. I admit it. I can’t help it. This music teacher gets downright sappy with a good musical. That is why I decided to make a musicals bucket list for my girls. I consider it part of their “music appreciation” school work. Every year our goal is to watch a few musicals so that by the time they are 18 they will have seen these top 100 musical movie classics. Care to join us?
The musicals are listed in order by age appropriateness. All age guidelines were determined according to reviews found on Common Sense Media which I find to be a rather conservative guide to movies most of the time. That said, as with any type of media, viewer discretion is always advised. Now, by all means, go check out some of these classics from your local library, pop some popcorn, and enjoy!
