I don’t know about you, but around here our daily schedule is never the same. As such we’ve modified our schedule so that we have a routine we try to follow around a few pillar events. Overall, this has worked great for us because it gives us some freedom for creativity as well. I suppose it kind of goes along with Alicia Kazsuk’s idea of creating a homeschool rhythm. That said, here is our 2014-2015 preschool and kindergarten homeschool routine.
Mommy Time (6:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.)
- Quiet Time
- Exercise
- Shower
Morning Routine (7:15 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.)
- Children wake up
- Breakfast
- Personal hygiene
- Start the laundry
- Start the dishes
- Go for a walk around the park while the girls scooter or bicycle.
School Routine (9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.)
- Flag Salutes
- Morning Board and Calendar
- Workboxes
Afternoon Routine (11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
- Lunch
- Naptime/quiet time for the girls
- Computer time for me
Late-Afternoon Routine (2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
- Chores
- Run errands
- Play outside
- Supper prep
Evening Routine (6:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.)
- Supper
- Start the dishes
- P.E. with Dad/Family Time
- Baths/Personal hygiene
- Bedtime stories
- Lights out for the girls
- Hang-out time with the hubs, catch up on computer work, or free reading time for me
- Lights out for us too
