My family has several allergies, including milk, and we try to eat fairly healthily. Thus, finding a baking mix (aka Bisquick mix) that does not include Crisco or dry milk powder has been a challenge. I think we’ve found a keeper though with this recipe. Four ingredients, keeps for up to 3 months. We’ve made several recipes and my oldest daughter still begs for pancakes so I think we’ve found a winner.
- 1⁄2 cup baking powder
- 1⁄4 cup sugar
- 9 cups flour (split or all one)
- 1 1⁄4 cup canola oil
- Mix dry ingredients. Cut in oil until mix resembles the consistency of corn meal. Store in airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator.
