Lately I’ve been in a craze trying new Pinterest recipes. Some we’ve liked, some we probably will never make again. Today I gathered several of our favorites and added them to our favorite recipes notebook. Since they are so yummy I thought maybe I might share a few of them with you too. Let me restate this–these are ONLY Pinterest recipes we’ve TRIED and we LOVE…not just some random pins or “that was ok” stuff. So try them out and let me know what you think.
1. The first recipe that is now a favorite staple is the Cheesy Chicken and Wild Rice Casserole on Picky Palate. It’s easy to make and a wonderful comfort food. We had it with steamed broccoli but even decided that next time we might include it in the casserole as an all-in-one. I also like that this would be an easy casserole to freeze too.

2. Another favorite casserole we’ve discovered via Pinterest is Cheesy Pepperoni Ravioli on Talking Dollars and Cents. Why? It’s easy to make (so easy my 3 year old daughter has even made it once…with the help of mom of course), tastes great, only uses 4 ingredients, would make a great casserole to make for another family, and there’s little prep time involved.

3. This next recipe I actually made the first time for some guests. I know, you are not supposed to try new recipes on company, but I couldn’t resist. I’m glad I didn’t. The Easy Peach Cobbler on Our Thrifty Nest of 7 IS so easy because it contains only THREE ingredients. However, don’t let the limited ingredients fool you. It tastes amazing! Add some ice cream and I could have eaten the whole cobbler in one sitting. But then, I am a sucker for anything with yellow cake mix. 😉 Yum!

4. My family enjoys having homemade fries on occasion. We never buy those fries in the frozen section but rather create them from fresh potatos and bake them. One, they taste better. Two, they are better for you. All that said, my husband really likes crispy on the outside, soft on the inside fries. This recipe on Annie’s Eats helped me to achieve those results. Who knew that soaking potatoes before you baked them actually helped them to become crisper?!

5. Recently my mother-in-law shared some cracked wheat with me. While thankful, I wasn’t exactly sure what I was going to do with it until I found this recipe on Sparkpeople. First of all, let me just say that I like trying out any recipe I can find on Sparkpeople because not only can I see star reviews, but I can also know how healthy it is before I begin. Alas, I am side-tracking. When I made these cracked wheat muffins I assumed they might be a little dry and that my daughter wouldn’t like them. Not so. They were moist and addicting. For healthy breakfast fare that’s low in sugar, it’s definitely a keeper.
