“I’m bored.”
If you have kids I’m sure you’ve heard it at least one time or another. This week my girls reached that place during their afternoon playtime where they were at a loss for what to do. I decided it was time for some Boredom Busters!
I created these cards and printed them off. You would have thought it was Christmas! My girls were reading them and creating a pile of everything they wanted to do first. And would you know–they were occupied by fun activities ALL afternoon!
When creating these cards I wanted to make sure that each activity included something they could do without the help of mom so that if I was pre-occupied they could still feel productive. The result? I haven’t heard the words “I’m bored” since and if I do, I’ll just reply, “go check out the boredom busters can.”

Recommendation: Print the cards on cardstock, cut out, and laminate for long use. Don’t have an laminator? I can’t say enough about this one. It’s cheap and has already lasted us years.

Ooooh, this will come in so handy!! I have my boys home with me twice a week, and get tired of vetoing video games and tv for all day entertainment.
Love these, Kathy! Thank you so much for sharing this at Coffee & Conversation last week ~ we’ll be featuring it on Wednesday – yay!!
Have a great week!!!
