This last week for my daughter’s birthday we decided to have a destination birthday party (aka a campout) instead of the usual friends party, and it was a blast. We ventured through a cave, dug for selenite crystals, toured a sod house, and hiked a small mountain. My daughter has defined it as “the best birthday ever” and both girls learned so much more about history and science than they would have from a book that I couldn’t be more happy.
Oklahoma is filled with field trips places for kids for every subject and age range. Need some ideas? Here are several places we plan to start. The best part? You can search by recommended grade level, location, or subject! Keep in mind these are only grade level recommendations and meant as a means to spread out these field trips over time. However, most locations provide something worthwhile for nearly every age to enjoy.
