It’s that time again…the time I make out my new book list for the year. I have loved looking through my Books to Read Pinterest board, Amazon wish list, and my books to read list in my notebook to decide which books I will read this year. There were so many good choices! In fact, nearly all of these selections have a 5-star rating on Amazon. Makes me almost wish I could read them all at once!
My goal this year is to read 36 books. This includes 12 ebooks which are generally shorter in length and 24 paperback books. It’s a lofty goal I know but I’m also making some changes in my daily schedule to allow for some extra reading time since I enjoy it so much. We’ll see how it goes.

What about you? What do you hope to read this year? Let me know in the comments below. I’d love to check out your recommendations for next year (or for the end of the year this year if I get ahead of schedule). I’m always looking for that next good read.
Want to know my favorite read from this year? Check out my 2012 Top 10 List.
Love your list. I will def be checking out some of these books. I am working on my post to put on my blog right now. Hopefully I will have it posted next week. Hop on over and check it out because I think all of my selections are different from yours except maybe one of them (although I have read some of the ones on your list previously). http://www.jensjourney77.blogspot.com
And I will say, I am not choosing nearly that many books! haha Happy Reading!
I have read a few of the books on your list and also have some similar ones on my own 2013 reading list, which I hope to post in the next few days. I’m trying to read more classics this year, but you have listed a few books and e-books that have piqued my interest. Thanks for sharing your list!

What a fun list. My problem is that I keep finding good books that I want to jump into… I’m finishing up Platform right now and the kids and I are excited to jump into The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. (First time for them! eeek!!!)
I’ve never heard of Platform before. Went to check it out on Amazon. 5 stars and over 200 reviews. Sounds good. What did you think? For whom might it be helpful? Have fun with C.S.Lewis. That’s a classic!
Good luck with your goal! I hope you reach it!
Thanks! I’ve already started book #2 so it looks like we are on track so far. We will see how I hold out. 😉
Great list, Kathy! Thanks for sharing! I love how organized you are with your planning. 🙂
Thanks. So far it’s working for me. We will see how it goes.
