New Year’s Countdown Sacks

Last year we began a new New Year’s Eve tradition–New Year’s Countdown sacks!  We had so much fun opening and completing the activities as we counted down to the new year that we’ve decided to make it an annual event.  This year hopes to be even more exciting as Peanut can now tell time (thanks to preschool) and Teacup is old enough to participate too!

Here’s our countdown plan for this year:

7 p.m.  Play with glow-in-the-dark slime

8 p.m.  Complete our annual Time Capsule Questionnaire (something we do every year to watch the girls grow)

9 p.m  Play Flashlight Tag.

10 p.m  Take a Glow-in-the Dark Bubble Bath

11 p.m   Watch a favorite movie (for us, it will most likely be The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh)

12 a.m. Countdown to “midnight”, blow noise makers, and read our first Bible devotional of the New Year. Once we have celebrated we are going to begin the New Year on the right track, by doing our Bible devotion first!

Want to make your own sacks?

Feel free to download my New Year’s Sack clocks and time capsule questionnaire from last year’s post.  Happy New Year!

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19
