Titus 2 Tuesday–Linky Party #17

This Week on Cornerstone Confessions:

Above all else this week, I spent a lot of time reorganizing my Pinterest boards.  It was long overdue.  The result–a total of 82 specialized boards.  I can now find pins I want to use so much easier.   My favorites topics (kids, home school, organization, books, and recipes) have all been sub-categorized.  It’s great!  All that to say, if you haven’t followed me on Pinterest yet, I’d love to have you along for the ride.

This week I also shared a couple of “God moments” I had with my daughter in the kitchen…the kind where you go, “okay God I’m listening.”  The Topics–perfectionism and judging others–two thorns in my side that definitely challenge me every day to give it over to God.

Finally, I shared our home school week with Peanut.  It was such a fun week painting in all different ways and roll playing lots of different community helpers.  I also shared a couple of short video clips from the week so be sure to check those out too.  It was definitely a fun week.

Sometimes do you find it hard to respect your husband?  You want to, deep down you do, but sometimes it’s just very difficult to find something to respect him for.  I must admit there have been times that I’ve faced this dilemma even with Goose.  It’s during these times that I remind myself that love is a choice not an emotion.  And, from the number of reads this week, it appears I’m not the only one that has been challenged in this area.  In her post, Jolene provides 5 ways to recapture respect for your husband.  If you are struggling in this area at all, then this is definitely one post to check out.

I was surfing the net one day when I found the Motivated Mommy’s homemade magnetic chore chart.  I immediately loved the simplicity and attractiveness of it and could easily see my girls using something like it as they grow out of their routine charts.  And, from the many clicks, it looks like you like it as well.  Thanks Shirley for linking this one up!

Personal Favorites:

You remember how I shared with you last week about how we were trying to incorporate less sugar in our house because it seems to negatively effect the behaviors of our daughter?  Well if you want to know the full report about sugar, you should check out this post on Small Footprint Family.  Dawn did a lot of research for this one and its fabulous…if you want to know the truth and nothing but the truth that is.

I have definitely been finding it a challenge to balance both life and work as a blogger lately.  In fact, I’m in the process of re-configuring my daily schedule…again.  Therefore I was really glad to come across this post on balance for bloggers.  Just as when I shared some time saving blog party tips, Alana reminds us that there IS more to life than blogging.

This next feature I’m definitely pinning for a rainy day (no pun intended).  Thank you Holly for all the free Scavenger Hunt printables.  Peanut will definitely enjoy these!

This last feature definitely tugs at the heartstrings a little bit.  If blogging isn’t out of balance, then your family focus may be.   Ouch.  It’s all about balance, isn’t it?  It’s definitely a constant challenge.  All that to say, Kara does an excellent job sharing her struggles with balancing family focus with God-focus.

Now on to this week’s party….

Each week I will do my best to share a few of the most clicked links as well as a few of my favorites.  Be sure to check back here every Tuesday to see if you’ve been featured and to link up.  Now let’s get this party started.  I can’t wait to see what you have to share!

Party Guidelines:

  1. Post topics can include the topics of marriage, parenting, homemaking, devotional thoughts, time management, money management, organization, home decor, recipes, DIY, tutorials, and more.  If it would encourage another to be a Titus 2 woman, let us hear about it, but please refrain from including giveaways, sales, Etsy, or linky party posts.
  2. Link as many posts as like that have not been linked to Titus 2 Tuesdays before.  Remember, link to a SPECIFIC post, not your whole blog.
  3. Add a party button or text back link to your post.   My personal favorites always do.  ;) Html for a text link back:  Cornerstone Confessions
  4. Visit at least two other links and share some encouragement.
  5. Although not mandatory, I’d love it if you’d follow me in some way, shape or form.  I always enjoy making new friends.  And, if you follow me via RSS or e-mail you’ll receive a link to my Blog-and-Home-Planner Printables FREE as a thank you!

Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.  Titus 2:3-5
