- Praying – the obvious prayer times are at meals and at bedtime, but we should never forget to pray about everything with our children. If there is a conflict between siblings, when a situation arises where you become frustrated, if someone is sick or emotionally wounded, take any and all things to the Lord with your children. It is good for them to know that you take everything to the Lord; they in turn will seek His face as they grow older.
- His creations – never cease to talk about how our Lord created us, how we were made, how He knew us before we were in the womb. How He created the heavens and the earth. How He knows every bird and feeds them, how He clothed the flowers with their beautiful colors. Everything we see is from Him.
- He never ceases to amaze me. Just a couple days ago I was reading how the earth rotates at about 1,000 mph and at the same time we are going around the sun at about 67,000 mph. I was in awe of our Lord. The scripture I was studying that day was Colossians 1:17 – He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. What a beautiful truth to share with our kids about how awesome He is!
- Be creative –as the above scripture instructs, put scriptures in every room, pictures of the Bible stories you read together, do Bible studies with arts and crafts, listen and sing along to praise songs while you’re doing chores. Show your children your love for the Lord.
These are just a few ways to share with and lead your precious little ones to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and our heavenly Father. Our children are such a blessing, if we but seek His guidance and stay centered on the word of God and His truth; we will be a blessing and be blessed.
