Peanut’s Video Debut: It’s Snowing!

Yep, you saw that right–snow!  Okay all you people in the snow-weather states, I’m sure this not a surprise, but for us here in Oklahoma, we either get nothing or 12 inches. We have very erratic weather to say the least.
It’s our first snow of the season, and definitely unexpected.  Peanut had already gone to bed when I heard Goose say, “Hey there’s snow on the ground.”  So, after looking I went to get Peanut up.  Quickly I put her snow outfit on over her PJs and out we went.  Yes, this mom didn’t even change her into some warmer clothes midst all the excitement.  I know…I know.
Anyway, Peanut ran outside because it was definitely a special occasion to be outside after bedtime.  All of a sudden she came to a halt when she saw the snow coming down rather quickly.  Startled, she ran back to me as quickly as she could as if under attack and said, “What’s that?!”  It was only then I realized she hadn’t seen or been out when the snow had come down before.  Yes, we were in it last year and even sledded some after a 10″ blizzard but to be out in it WHEN it’s snowing–no.  It was so fun to watch her try to catch the snow on her tongue and run from it.  Ha!  Oh to wonder what she was truly thinking.
We then came back in and just watched for awhile.  She was jumping around crazy with excitement so I knew bed wasn’t yet an option.  I did try to video her with the video capabilities on my little Sony Picture Cam for you to see.  The quality is very bad for which I apologize but here’s a taste…
Let it snow.  Let it snow.  Let it snow!

Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.  Psalm 51:7
