Me and My Family

Welcome to Cornerstone Confessions, a blog about home keeping and home life from a Biblical perspective. Please let me introduce myself.

About Me

My name is Kathy and I’m a follower of Christ, wife, stay-at-home mom, musician, dog lover, and aspiring techy. I’ve been married for three fast paced but lovable years and am the mother of 2 precious little girls. I enjoy reading, playing the piano, smelling lilacs, and above all things, organizing and researching about home life and home school.  Prior to being a stay-at-home mom I was an elementary music teacher for 7 years and now continue my music education pursuits by directing a couple of area homeschool choirs. The formation of this blog marks the near beginning of our family journey and my lifelong pursuit to becoming a domestic diva drawing on the divine. My hope is that this blog evolves into a resource not only to share our experiences with our extended family but also to connect with others in the homeschool and Christian communities who desire to pursue a similar path. Similarly, I hope it becomes a blessing to your family and I thank you for reading!

About My Family
Goose and Me

First and foremost I must introduce my cute hubby whom I am very thankful God brought into my life. Nicknamed Goose in college, he enjoys gardening, searching Craigslist, doing handyman projects, and spending time with his girls.

Peanut

Next in line comes Peanut. Nicknamed such by the nurses in NICU when she was born (she was a 6 week preemie), Peanut has come to develop a humorous personality with a great imagination. As a three year old she loves playing with her stuffed animals, playing make-believe via her doll house and farm accessories, and reading books.

Teacup

Last but not least is Teacup. While we wanted to nickname her tea kettle because she always seems to be squeaking and whistling in her sleep, we thought Teacup sounded a little cuter and well, easier to say, so Teacup she’s become. Teacup is now 13 months old and loves mimicking words, pretending to read, and eating waffles.
